Specialities/Approach:
Meghan utilizes tools such as functional movement screening, ART and myofascial release, spinal and extremity manipulation, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), K-Tape, cupping, and both functional and performance-based rehab. Most importantly, she cares about using a collaborative and functional approach to tailor each patient’s treatment plan to their specific needs and goals.
About:
Meghan’s nickname in chiropractic school was Hermione. She is super nerdy and enthusiastic about movement and biomechanics and if you let her, will chat your ear off about it. She genuinely enjoys getting people excited and interested in their own bodies, wellness, and movement and finding creative ways to get people to move better in their everyday lives, whether it’s teaching people to hip hinge when they do yoga or getting postpartum moms back to running.
Why she became an Chiropractor:
Because her own chiropractor said, “You need to stop coming in and paying me money to ask so many questions about anatomy, movement, and chiropractic and just become a chiropractor yourself.” And so she can wear comfy shoes to work.
Athletics:
Meghan loves to move. In fact, when she doesn’t move, she tends to start pacing around the building. Like Scar, the grossly misunderstood lion from The Lion King. Kettlebell strength and conditioning, hiking, and yoga are her go-tos, but she’s recently started tennis as the perfect social-distancing sport. Her best friend Mary also makes her go running every weekend.
Something you should know about her:
If you bring coffee or anything from Veggie Chao Express she will love you forever. Oh, and 5% of her brain space is occupied by dad jokes.
