Approach

Tamara takes a root-cause approach to physiotherapy, going beyond symptoms to uncover movement dysfunction and biomechanical imbalances. Her sessions are hands-on and tailored to each client, using a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, Graston Technique®, dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, and lifestyle-focused strategies.

About

With over 20 years of experience, Tamara has worked in both clinical and performance-based environments. She has served as a consultant at the Fraser Orthopedic Institute and supported elite athletes through RockDoc Consulting at events like Ironman Canada and the Vancouver Sun Run. She currently practices at Impulse Sport Therapeutics and The Centre for Child Development, working with a diverse population ranging from toddlers to high-performance athletes.

Athletics

Outside the clinic, Tamara lives what she teaches. A passionate recreational athlete, she enjoys yoga, skiing, mountain biking, and tennis. A self-professed late-blooming athlete, she recently competed in her first tennis tournament and earned a proud second-place finish — a reflection of her commitment to personal growth and her deep belief in the transformative power of movement.

Something you should know about her

Tamara grew up braving -40°C winters in Manitoba — and still thinks nothing builds resilience quite like walking to school in a snowsuit, face wrapped in a scarf, with eyelashes frozen solid.
